New CNC Investments Support Our 2011 Growth

In order to match our growth, meet our expanding customer base delivery times & show to the subcontract market our confidence for the future, 2011 has seen Medley Precision make some of our most critical CNC plant investments to date.

Starting in July with our 5th Matsuura to date - the full 5 axis state of the art MX-520, our investment in key production equipment led us to Matsuura yet again for our second 5 axis. The MX-520 was acquired to support our aerospace sector growth - particularly in light of our LRQA 9001 accreditation - which the team at Medley achieved also in July 2011.

Capable of full 5 axis operation & unmanned running, the MX-520 is
Matsuura's latest 5 axis machine tool & maintains their heritage of high quality, highly productive & versatile 5 axis machine tools. We can support customers new & established alike with our full 5 axis component programming service.

Next for installation was a Mori Seiki NLX2500SY lathe. The NLX2500SY is a highly rigid, highly accurate lathe with live tool positions & the ability to mill complex features into turned components. Single turret, Y axis & slideways equipped, the NLX2500SY is a vital addition to our machine shop for maintaining established quality from new contracts won, producing a myriad of mill / turn components.

Following quickly on the NLX25005Y in 2011 was our new Doosan Puma 2000SY multi tasking turning centre. Purchased to support increased volumes for on going customer contracts, this versatile workhorse can also be utilised on fast turnaround jobs.
